GLMS highlights successful August in latest monthly update

Ludovico Calvi, President of the Global Lottery Monitoring Systems (GLMS), has offered a recap of recent GLMS developments in the association’s latest newsletter, which highlights the China Sports Lottery’s third party market development deal as well as the Nederlandse Loterij‘s INTRALOT agreement, among others.

Speaking to members, he said: “As we slowly leave summer behind, I am pleased to share with you the GLMS August 2020 newsletter to catch you up with what has been happening in our network recently.

“Our integrity team with its three fully operational hubs continues to monitor sports competitions worldwide without interruption – while certain sports competitions ended a few weeks ago, preliminary European qualifying rounds have started up, while major American sport events have been the focus of our analysts recently.”

The August update also highlighted that the GLMS Operations’ team created numerous alerts on 12 matches to its partners throughout the month, with the group revealing the record high number of alerts came as a result of all three operational hubs now being active and fully operational.

Additionally, 12 analysis-reports, three more than the month of July, were also developed upon request of members and partners throughout the August period.

Furthermore, the newsletter provided an update on the organisation’s first General Meeting which is currently at the midway stage and being undertaken through written procedure due to COVID-19.

Calvi concluded: “I would like to take this opportunity to encourage you to continue to stay vigilant and strong to avoid a second wave of the virus, and to wish you a great September.”
