Scientific Games has penned a 10-year base contract with the Pennsylvania Lottery to provide its instant games and induct the lottery into the Scientific Games Enhanced Partnership.
The partnership ensures that the lottery will join SGEP, the group of companies and lotteries working closely with SG for lottery instant game services until the summer of 2031.
Additionally, SG will provide the lottery with lottery gaming systems services across its network of nearly 10,000 retailers across Pennsylvania.
Drew Svitko, Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Lottery, commented: “After careful evaluation of several proposals, Scientific Games was chosen to help us modernize our business so that we will be able to have a continuing impact on the programs that Pennsylvania seniors rely on every day.
“Things like free meals, transportation, care services, tax relief and prescription assistance are needed now more than ever. Our partnership will only strengthen Lottery’s mission and we look forward to the future.”
SG won the contract over several other firms after impressing the lottery with several proposals to modernise operations.
The firm proposed new ideas based on the lottery’s successful scratch-off games, with modern tools such as advanced supply chain logistics, retailer equipment solutions, enterprise applications, analytics services and sales performance tools all included streamlining the lottery’s operations.
This latest agreement extends the two parties’ partnership which has lasted for nearly 50 years, with SG supplying the lottery since its inception. In 2018, SG launched Pennsylvania’s ilottery suite for mobile and online platforms.
